Design is like baseball

As a big fan of baseball (Go Cubbies!) I love this quote from Bob Rankin in Rankin Design, published in this months GDUSA...

"In terms of making an impact on society, it's like baseball. Designers work hard for every trip to the plate, and when we get to bat, we have the opportunity to hit a home run or maybe just a hit. (I've been walked before.) Sometimes we can make a difference, sometimes not. But we stay in the game and keep swinging. We love the game."

Oh, we love the game.
